A little about me…
Since 2002, I have worked as a designer for a fine flooring design center. I love what I do there even all of these years later, meeting clients who are building new construction or remodeling and walk them through material selections. Since 2006, I have been doing freelance work where I go beyond flooring into all areas of design, serving the Kansas City metropolitan area.
I have designed for a diverse mix of clients. I’ve furnished model homes in the KCHBA (Kansas City Home Builder's Association) Parade of Homes which I selected every finish, which then goes on to win awards for builders most years since 2007. I stage homes about to go on the market for agents, maximizing appeal to the masses and profits for agents and home sellers. I work with custom home builders and remodelers to walk clients through the daunting process of making selections. I have designed commercial work selecting & furnishing for a radio station (Radio Disney) & a University (Texas A&M).
My goal is to create one of a kind spaces tailor made for each client, using what they have (if I can) adding in a wide array of sources, using high end stores, when feasible, and of course, some of my local underrated favorites, to meet my client's budget needs. I love to blend together high end and low to create something unique, so it looks like your own curation, not appearing as if we purchased all from a single store.
My strengths as a designer are to create and refine the client's vision with them, to see potential in a remodel and blank empty spaces, add in details to make it more thoughtful and complete, then reverse engineer the process to help walk them through each step to achieve the home or room of their dreams. I aspire to give spaces soul.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending cultural events, entertaining friends, collecting vinyl, pinning on Pinterest, shopping & travel.
Looking forward to working with you!
